Experiment

Crosses between flat-top carriers and C57BL/6J were carried out. Progeny from these crosses either back-crossed or inter-crosses to determine the presence of mutant embryos. Heterozygous carriers were scored for a set of SSLP markers. The flat-top locus was localized to a 0.3 +/- 0.15 cM interval between (D4Mit129, D4Mit189, D4Mit49) and (D4Mit127, D4Mit14, D4Mit33).
