GeneAlleleAssay TypeDescription
Slc22a5 reported elsewhere
Notes
  • Experiment
To establish a line of evidence that the mouse Slc22a5 was responsible for the jvs phenotype the authors isolated YAC clone YAC348B12 which contained Slc22a5. In an unidentified linkage cross it was observed that YAC348B12 also contained the jvs locus placing these markers within a 1000kb region of mouse Chromosome 11. In a second line of evidence the authors analyzed, sequences between wild type and jvs DNA suggested that Slc22a5 may code for the jvs phenotype.
