Notes
  • Experiment
Preliminary analysis of BXH (C57BL/6J x C3H/HeJ) recombinant inbred strains indicated that a region of mouse Chromosome 3 near D3Mit7 might contain quantitative trait loci involved with differential inspiratory timing. Further measurements of inspiratorytiming (TI) in F2 progeny of C3H/HeJ (TI = 188 +/- 3 ms) and C57BL/6J (TI = 111 +/- 2 ms) mice pointed to a locus near D3Mit119 which determines 25% of the phenotypic variance (LOD = 3.3).
