Notes
  • Experiment
In order to localize quantitative trait loci (QTLs) affecting the experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) phenotype, 68 susceptible and 68 immune mice derived from a (B10.S x SJL/J)F1 x B10.S backcross were analyzed. The SJL/J strain is highly susceptible to EAE while B10.S is resistant. QTL Eae3 (p = 0.001) was localized on mouse Chromosome 3 linked to D3Mit244.

6.30.2015 Curator Note: Because Eae3 was originally mapped in J:26734 in 1995 using the F2 progeny from a B10.RIII x RIIIS/J cross, which differs from the cross used here, we consider the current study a separate mapping experiment and have named this QTL Eae42.
