Notes
  • Experiment
F2-intercross pedigree analysis of progeny from crosses between a single male of the outbred mouse line DU6 (selected for high body weight) and a DUKs female (a randomly mated control line) was used to map quantitative trait loci (QTL). A QTL linked withbody weight, Bw10, was placed at 34 cM on mouse Chromosome 13. A QTL associated with abdominal fat weight, Afw6, was placed at 0 cM. A QTL associated with abdominal fat percent, Afpq4, was placed at 0 cM. A QTL linked with kidney weight, Kwq4, was placedat 54 cM.
