  A sequence polymorphism between Ra/+ and M. spretus mice permitted the mapping of Lama5 in a (C3H/HeSnJ-Ra^J/+ x M. spretus)F1 x C3H/HeH cross. Genotyping of eight critical recombinants in the backcross revealed two recombinants between Lama5 and Sox18,indicating that Lama5 and Sox18 do not cosegregate and that Lama5 is proximal to Sox18.
