Notes
  • Experiment
Authors localized a quantitative trait locus (QTL) termed Life1, correlated with the variability in the rate at which genetically identical members of a population die. Twenty-two individual BXD (C57BL/6J x DBA/2) strains were analyzed in a genome-wide search for linkage with previously mapped traits and markers. Analysis revealed strong linkage to one genomic interval - a near - centromeric segment of mouse Chromosome 11. Markers most closely linked to Life1 are D11Byu1 and Glns-ps1.
