  • Reference
Authors use p57Kip2 and Kvlqt1 for locus symbols Cdkn1c and Kcnq1 respectively.
  • Experiment
    A series of overlapping YAC and BAC clones were used to physically map the following loci on mouse Chromosome 7: centromere - 3' - H19-5' - 3' - Igf2-5' - 3' - Ins2-5' - 3' - Th - 5' - 3' - Ascl2 - 5' - Cd81 - 5' - Kcnq1 - 3' - 3' - Cdkn1c-5' - telomere.It is noted that the corresponding human CD81 gene orientation is 5'-3' relative to the above order (not as yet determined in mouse). H19 and Cdkn1c map about 800kb apart. H19 and Ascl2 are approximately 250kb apart. The distance between Ascl2 and Cdkn1cis approximated to be 550kb. A previous report is noted which placed Cdkn1c centromeric to H19.
