GeneAlleleAssay TypeDescription
Dlx5 direct sequencing Dlx5 genomic
Dlx6 Southern analysis Dlx5[alpha]cDNA
Dlx6os2 direct sequencing Dlx6as cDNA
Notes
  • Experiment
Southern hybridization and direct sequencing of overlapping genomic and cDNA clones indicated that Dlx6 and Dlx5 are approximatley 7.6kb apart in a tail to tail orientation. Dlx6as (the Dlx6 antisense locus) is orientated in the same direction as Dlx5. Dlx6 has been previously mapped to mouse Chromosome 6, thus localizing Dlx5 and Dlx6as to the same region of the genome.
