Notes
  • Experiment
The authors have cloned and sequenced two novel genes, Gcn5l1 and Rdh5. By direct sequencing, the authors have established that the 5' end of Rdh5 is 0.776kb apart from the 3' end of Gcn5l1. Based on conserved homology with human genes, the mouse genes are anticipated to map to the distal end of mouse Chromosome 10. Subsequent genetic mapping in the JAX BSS (C57BL/6JEi x SPRET/Ei)F1 x SPRET/Ei) backcross mapping panel indicate that Rdh5 segregated with markers on mouse Chromosome 10
