Notes
  • Experiment
    YAC and P1 clones covering the vibrator mutation region of mouse Chromosome 11 were physically mapped. The order of loci in the region was reported as: D11Mit65 - D11Nds1 - Rpa1 - D11Rub2 - D11Rub3 - D11Rub4 - Prpf8 - D11Rub5 - D11Rub6 - D11Rub7 - Cox7c - Pitpnavb - Pps - Myo1c - D11Rub8 - D11Rub9 - Crk - D11Rub10 - D11Rub11 - D11Rub12 - Ywhae - D11Rub13 - D11Rub14 - D11Rub15 - D11Rub16 - D11Mit7 - D11Mit245. Sequence of a vibrator mouse clone (clone 4232) found to be completely complement the mutationin transgenic studies revealed the presence of a ~6kb intracisternal A particle (IAP) element in the intron 4 sequence of Pitpn. This sequence was not found in the wildtype DBA/2J progenitor strain. PCR analysis showed that this insertion is recombinationally inseperable from vb.
