    Authors analyzed the AKXD (AKR/J x DBA/2J) and AKXL (AKR/J x C57L/J) recombinant inbred strain distribution patterns of Plk-ps1 with previously mapped marker loci. The results indicate that the processed Plk pseudogene (Plk-ps1) maps to the proximal regiom of mouse Chromosome 5. Gene order was inferred to be proximal - Mpmv23 - Xmv34 - Adra2c - Plk-ps1 - Mpmv7 - distal.
