Notes
  • Experiment
The authors conducted an interval mapping study designed to search for and measure the effects of quantitative traits on directional asymmetry (DA) in (LG/J x SM/J)F2 (large x small) animals. Ten sets of mandibular bone measurements were assessed and analyzed to determine putative associated quantitative trait loci. Significant correlation of DA was found with mouse Chromosome 13,with 4 QTL markers detected -- one 50 cM distal to D13Mit1 (Daq8), and three 34 cM distal to D13Mit9 (Daq9, Daq10, Daq11).
