Notes
  • Experiment
The strain distribution patterns (SDPs) in 15 AKXL (AKR/J x C57L/J) RI strains suggest that at least two gene families facilitate the tissue damage caused by systemic infection of Candida albicans. One of these genes has been designated as Carg2. The SDPs of this locus, Carg2 does not significantly correlate with any known genetic marker currently mapped in the AKXL set.

The parental strain AKR/J exhibits greater susceptibility to infection by C. albicans compared to parental strain C57L/J.
