A, D) WT testes are a normal size and have ongoing spermatogenesis within the seminiferous tubules. B, E) Heterozygous testes also demonstrate appropriate size and spermatogenesis. C) Homozygous mutant testes are small compared to those of WT and heterozygous littermates. F) Spermatogenesis within homozygous mutant testes demonstrates defects ranging from germ cell loss to a Sertoli-cell-only phenotype.
