Histological analyses of testes from adult Spink2^{Gt(327A6)Cmhd}/Spink2^{Gt(327A6)Cmhd} mutant mice. A, histological sections of seminiferous tubules prepared from testes of wild-type (Spink2^+/+) and Spink2^{Gt(327A6)Cmhd}/Spink2^{Gt(327A6)Cmhd} (Spink2^gt/gt) mice stained with hematoxylin and eosin. The seminiferous tubules in mutant mice were markedly degenerated compared with those in wild-type testes. Arrows indicate abnormal vacuoles. Some tubules contained only a few spermatogenic cells around basal compartments (asterisks). Scale bar, 100 um (upper) and 50 um (lower).
