Caption Panel A: In comparison with the +/+ wild-type, the testis of the Fhl5tm1Saco/Fhl5tm1Saco are normal, although slightly smaller in size. Panel B: The cauda epididymides of the Fhl5tm1Saco/Fhl5tm1Saco mouse is smaller and more transparent then that of the +/+ wild-type indicating a reduced amount of mature sperm in the epididymal tubules. Panels C & D: Histological pariffin sections of testis stained with hematoxylin and eosin of +/+ wild-type and Fhl5tm1Saco/Fhl5tm1Saco mice show no significant diffference. Magnification X50
