| Caption | Targeting strategy for the generation of the Tardbptm1Ckjs and Tardbptm1.1Ckjs alleles. The exons 2 (E2) and 3 (E3) were replaced with a "floxed" fragment containing exons 2 and 3 followed by an frt-flanking neo cassette which generates the Tardbptm1Ckjs (loxP) allele. Subsequently, the neo cassette and the two exons were removed by germline expression of the Cre recombinase from Ella-Cre mice which generates the Tardbptm1.1Ckjs (-) allele. | ||||||
