| Caption | Generation of Sos1-floxed mice. (A) Targeting strategy for tissue-specific deletion of Sos1 by creating the floxed allele Sos1tm1.1Les. Exons (ex) are depicted as black boxes; the neomycin resistance cassette as an open box; Frt sites as filled triangles; and loxP sites as open triangles. The targeting construct used is denoted as the region inside of the circled vertical lines of the TARG-Sos1 schematic. The neo resistance cassette was removed by crossing to Flp-expressing mice in the first generation. Crossing to Cre-expressing mice will remove exon 10 of the Sos1.
