Whole-mount in situ hybridization images of 10.5 dpc embryos sagittally bisected down the midline to reveal the urogenital tract (UGT), including the metanephric mesenchyme (white arrows). The rostral mesonephros is enlarged to show the location of the mesonephric tubules, and the metanephric mesenchyme is enlarged. Whole-mount in situ hybridization of the gonad-mesonephros (M, male, F, female) and metanephros is shown at 12.5-13.5 dpc.
