Immunohistochemistry in a section of a male embryo at 11.5 dpc. An Ad4BP/SF-1-positive cell (black arrowhead) is adjacent to a Pax2-positive cell (white arrowhead) in the cord-like mesonephric tubules surrounded by the basal membrane. Note that some of the mesonephric tubules facing the gonadal region (arrows) show vast lumina, an incomplete basal membrane, and E-cadherin-negative/Ncadherin-positive findings.
