Arrows indicate that the level of expression is different between somites (A), an irregular expression in more cranial somites (middle panel, right side, B), and a diffuse staining pattern (bottom panel, right side, B) in the more caudal somites. E: The arrow indicates that the presomitic mesoderm appears elongated in the rv/rv embryo.
