B: Expression on mesothelium (open arrows) and epithelium (solid arrows). C: An immunolabeled E15 lung section revealed pericellular expression around young epithelia (arrows) and basal expression on a more mature epithelium (arrowhead). D: Signal on mesenchymal cells (arrowheads) and epithelia (arrows). E: Same section as that shown in C double-labeled. F: Same section as that shown in D double-labeled. Mesenchymal cells that were immunopositive for both indicated by arrowheads. Some epithelial cells expressed Itga2 (solid arrows), whereas others did not (open arrows). Scale bars = 100 um; bar in A applies to A, B, D, and F, and bar in C applies to C and E.
