Sections containing the trabecular regions of E14.5 hearts in wild-type (WT) and Casz1^{Gt(CJ0565)Wtsi}/Casz1^{Gt(CJ0565)Wtsi} (Casz1^{betageo/betageo}) were labeled for desmin (red), and nuclei were stained with DAPI (blue). There is a striated pattern for desmin labeling in both wild type and mutant hearts, but the striated patterns are not as uniform or apparent in the mutant heart.
