VEGF-C-induced lymphangiogenesis is reduced in Lgals8^{tm1(KOMP)Vlcg}/Lgals8^{tm1(KOMP)Vlcg} (Gal-8 KO) mice. VEGF-C pellets (160 ng) were implanted into wild-type (WT, N = 11) and mutant (N = 11) mice. After 7 day post implantation, the corneal flat mounts were stained with anti-LYVE-1 and lymphatic vessel areas were quantified. Asterisks indicate VEGF-C pellets. Data are plotted as mean s.e.m. and analysed using one-way ANOVA and Student's t-test. Scale bars: 200 um (j).
