(A) Pkd1^tm2.2Bol/Pkd1^tm2.2Bol (Pkd1^{deltaC/deltaC}) mice develop edema and hemorrhage starting at E14.5, both of which worsen at E15.5. (B) Tissue sections of embryos from E14.5 and E15.5 were stained with hematoxylin and eosin. Kidneys of homozygous mutant embryos from E15.5 develop tubular as well as glomerular cysts. Bar represents 200 um.
