Caption Homozygous Oxr1tm1a(EUCOMM)Wtsi/Oxr1tm1a(EUCOMM)Wtsi (Oxr1tm1a/tm1a) and bella/bella (bel/bel) mice show a very similar pattern and distribution of terminal deoxynucleotidyltransferase dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL)-positive (red) in the granule cell layer of the cerebellum at P21 compared with heterozygous Oxr1 (Oxr1tm1a/+) animals where no cell death was observed. These data are quantified in D. Data are represented as the mean +/-S.E. using one-way ANOVA with Dunnett's multiple comparison test (***, p < 0.001). Scale bars: 1 mm in B and 400 um in C. Higher (2x) magnification is shown in the inset panels.
