Fibers innervating the utricular and saccular maculae (arrows, I, J). c = crista, cd = cochlear duct, ed = endolymphatic duct, hb = hindbrain, lp = lateral pouch, sg = spiral ganglion, sm = saccular macula, um= utricular macule, vg = vestibular ganglion, vp = vertical pouch, VIIIV = vestibular division of the eighth cranial nerve.
