Severe osteopenia in Tg(Col1a1-cre)1Bek/0 Pkd1^tm2Ggg/Pkd1^tm2Ggg (Col1a1(3.6)-Cre;Pkd1^flox/flox) adult mice. (B) Bone structure of femurs. MicroCT analyais revealed that the lower bone mass in conditional homozygous mice resulted from reductions in both trabecular BV/TV and cortical CtTh that were proportional to the reduction in Pkd1 gene doese. Data represent the mean +/- S.D. from five to six individual mice. *Significant different from control (Pkd1^tm2Ggg) and #significant difference from Tg(Col1a1-cre)1Bek/0 Pkd1^tm2Ggg/Pkd1⁺ (Col1a1(3.6)-Cre;Pkd1^flox/+) mice at P<0.05, respectively.
