J-M: Sections from embryos of the indicated stages pulse-labeled with BrdU were double- immunostained with anti-Foxn4 and anti-BrdU antibodies. A-H,J-M,O,P: Sections were counterstained with nuclear DAPI (A-H,J-M) and those in (O,P) with fast red. A, alveolus; Bo, bronchiole; Bu, bronchus; D, distal epithelium; Es, esophagus; Tr, trachea.
