Caption Six1 gene disruption perturbs myogenic differentiation of satellite cell (SC) descendants ex vivo. 1 week after tamoxifen (TM) treatment, extensor digitorum longus (EDL) myofibers from control and Six1tm2.1Mair/Six1tm2.1Mair Pax7tm1(cre/ERT2)Gaka/Pax7+ (Six1KO) mice were plated on Matrigel, and cultures were analyzed after 6 and 9 days of culture ex vivo. (G) SC-derived myogenic cells grown for 9 days were immunolocalized for Pax7 and both MyoD and Ki67 proteins.
