Representative confocal images of mitochondrial delta-psi-m (membrane potential) stained by tetramethylrhodamine methyl ester in Langendorff-perfused hearts before or after ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) stress from 6-month-old Mfn2^tm1.1Mzhe/Mfn2^tm1.1Mzhe Myl2^tm1(cre)Krc/Myl2⁺ (CKO), littermate control (WT), and control Myl2^tm1(cre)Krc/Myl2⁺ (Cre) mice. Ischemia-reperfusion resulted in a greater loss of mitochondrial membrane potenial in cardiomyocytes from mutants than controls at 6 months of age. Scale bar, 50 um.
