(A) Tmem100 KO embryos and yolk sac have no detectable abnormalities of vascular structure at E8.5. Gross appearance (a-d) and H&E-stained sections (e-h) are shown. (B) At E9.5, Tmem100 KO embryos have aberrant arteriovenous connections between dorsal aorta and cardinal vein, as marked with arrows in d and f. Null embryos also show remodeling defects of trunk arteries (arrowheads) and intersomitic vessels (open arrowheads) (b).
