B,C: Bright field. D,E: Dark field. Di, Diencephalon; EMT, eminentia thalami; Ms, mesencephalon; PC, posterior commissure; Rh, rhombencephalon; Se, septum; Te, telencephalon; tg, tegmentum. On this specimen the staining apparent in the telencephalon and otic vesicle is due to background. Black arrowheads in A indicate the mesonephros. In D and E white arrowheads indicate the septum.
