While Srebf2^lop13/Srebf2^lop13 mice develop persistent wounds of the skin surrounding the eyes, histological analysis of skin sections from the back of the neck did not reveal any differences in skin morphology between wild-type (C) and Srebf2^lop13/Srebf2^lop13 (D) mice prior to onset of a wound.
