Caption | Image(s) contributed directly to GXD by the GUDMAP database. Zoom capability for the image(s) can be accessed via the GUDMAP link at the bottom of this page. GUDMAP provided the following information: 1742_Aqp1_EK1_121207.jpg - Metanephros sectioned through pelvis and proximal ureter - Napsa RNA blue and Aqp1 protein orange; 1742_Aqp1_EK2_121207.jpg - Cortex-medulla border - Napsa in early proximal tubule closest to medulla adjacent to immature loop of Henle overlapping with Aqp1. Note Aqp1 positive early proximal tubule (top middle) shows no Napsa expression; 1742_Aqp1_EK3_121207.jpg - Nephrogenic zone through to pelvis - Napsa expression strongest in the most distal early proximal tubules adjacent to the medulla/immature loop of Henle. These are likely to represent early S2 and S3 proximal tubule segments; 1742_Aqp1_EK4_121207.jpg - Cortex (top) and medulla - strong Napsa expression in early proximal tubule (early S2 and S3 segments) and possible very weak expression in proximal portion of immature loop of Henle in some nephrons. | ||||||
