Appearance of wild-type (Lats2^+/+), Lats2^tm1Noj/Lats2⁺ (Lats2^+/-), and Lats2^tm1Noj/Lats2^tm1Noj (Lats2^-/-) mouse embryos at different stages during embryonic development. A-C, at E10.5, morphology of the homozygous mutant embryo was relatively normal, although body size was smaller than those of wild-type and heterozygous embryos. D-I, at E11.5 and E12.5, mutant embryos were severely growth-retarded. J-L, at E13.5, mutant embryo shows abnormal gross morphology and death.
