A: A photograph of representative wild-type (WT) and Pnrc2^tm1Shch/Pnrc2^tm1Shch (PNRC2^-/-) male mice on a normal chow diet at 12 months of age. B: Body length (from nose to anus) at 12 months of age (n = 5 for each group of mice). C: MRI analysis of body fat content. All images were obtained using a 500-MHz AMX MR *11.7T System. Slices shown are immediately below the lower ends of the right kidney in mutant and wild-type male mice. Metamorph software was used for image processing and analysis. The percentages of fat area over the whole area were calculated. The representative images and the calculated fat content for wild-type and mutant mice are shown.
