Electron micrograph of a chief cell in Atp4a^tm1Ges/Atp4a^tm1Ges stomach. An example of a well differentiated chief cell present in Atp4a^tm1Ges/Atp4a^tm1Ges stomach. It should be noted that not all chief cells of mutant stomachs were as well developed as the one shown here; in general, they had fewer secretory granules (SG) and less abundant rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER) than those found in wild type stomachs. Scale bar: 5um.
