(A and B) tg, trigeminal gnaglia, facio-acoustic (fa) and the dorsal root (drg) ganglia (A and C). (A and E) s, somites. The approximate plane of sections B-E is shown in lower case letters (A). Higher magnification (F) and a dorsal view (G) of the trunk show somatic expression is restricted to the ventro-caudal corner of the somite. Posterior (post.) in F and G is indicated. A section (H) shows expression localizes to the inner surface of the dermomyotome. The approximate plane of section H is shown in lower case letters (A). (I) trigeminal (tg), facio-acoustic (fa) and the dorsal root (drg) ganglia (I, L, N, S and R). Midbrain (mb) and the hindbrain (hb) (I-K) and along the length of the neural tube in lateral cells and the motor horn (M, N, R, S).
