a-d: Morphology of Stk11^tm1.1Jish/Stk11^tm1.1Jish embryos. Wild-type (a) and homozygous mutant embryo (c & d) at 9.0 dpc and wild type (b) at 8.5 dpc. The size of the homozygous mutant embryo was similar to that of the normal embryos of 8.0-8.5 dpc. Note the homozygous embryos did not undergo embryonic turning and have very small somite (s). e-g: Immunostaining of Stk11 (Lkb1) in wild-type embryo at 8.5 dpc (e) and 9.0 dpc (f & g) using anti-Stk11 antibody. The heart (g) and nucleated embryonic blood cells (f) of wild-type embryo at 9.0 dpc immunostained for Stk11. Magnifications: a-d: x40; e & f: x400; G: x100
