Results
Specimen 4A/C: embryonic day 14.5 (more )
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS22: molar epithelium Present Regionally restricted 4G/I , 4A , 4D/F , 4C Mostly expressed in the lingual dental epithelium and epithelial tip. Most of the BrdU+ cells were Sox2+.
TS22: oral epithelium Present Regionally restricted 4J/L , 4C , 4A Expressed in the lingual oral epithelium that was coupled to the Sox2+ lingual dental epithelium. Most of the BrdU+ cells were Sox2+.

Specimen 7A: embryonic day 14.5 (more )
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS22: molar epithelium Present Regionally restricted 7A Expressed in the lingual epithelium of the dental stalk.
TS22: oral epithelium Present Regionally restricted 7A Expressed in the oro-lingual epithelium.

Specimen 7B: embryonic day 14.5 (more )
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS22: molar epithelium Present Regionally restricted 7B Expressed in the lingual epithelium of the dental stalk.
TS22: oral epithelium Present Regionally restricted 7B Expressed in the oro-lingual epithelium.

Specimen 7C: embryonic day 14.5 (more )
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS22: molar epithelium Present Regionally restricted 7C Expressed in the lingual epithelium of the dental stalk.
TS22: oral epithelium Present Regionally restricted 7C Expressed in the oro-lingual epithelium.

Specimen 7G: embryonic day 13.5 (more )
Note: Z-stack projection
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS21: oral epithelium Present 7G
TS21: molar epithelium Present Regionally restricted 7G Expressed at the very distal region making a U-shape surrounding the dental epithelial tip.

Specimen 7I: embryonic day 13.5 (more )
Note: Z-stack projection
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS21: oral epithelium Present 7I
TS21: molar epithelium Present Regionally restricted 7I Expressed at the very distal region making a U-shape surrounding the dental epithelial tip. The posterior tip showed widespread expression, while the more anterior regions showed a restriction to the lingual side. At the tip the widespread expression was located in an area of flat epithelium, which thickened anteriorly.

Specimen 7J: embryonic day 13.5 (more )
Note: Z-stack projection
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS21: oral epithelium Present 7J
TS21: molar epithelium Present Regionally restricted 7J Expressed at the very distal region making a U-shape surrounding the dental epithelial tip. The posterior tip showed widespread expression, while the more anterior regions showed a restriction to the lingual side. At the tip the widespread expression was located in an area of flat epithelium, which thickened anteriorly.

Specimen S1A: embryonic day 13.5 (more )
Note: superficial plane
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS21: molar epithelium Present S1A
TS21: oral epithelium Present S1A

Specimen S1B: embryonic day 13.5 (more )
Note: medial plane
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS21: molar epithelium Present S1B
TS21: oral epithelium Present S1B

Specimen S1C: embryonic day 13.5 (more )
Note: deep oro-lingual plane
Structure Level Pattern Image Note
TS21: molar epithelium Present Regionally restricted S1C Expressed superficially (S1A, S1B), no expression in the deep planes.
TS21: oral epithelium Present Regionally restricted S1C Expressed superficially (S1A, S1B), no expression in the deep planes.
