TS26: brainstem nucleus Present Regionally restricted 4C Jmjd3+/+ Merge , 4C Jmjd3+/+ PAX2 Expression was detected in a subset of pre-Botzinger complex neurons in the ventrolateral medulla. Co-expression with Sst was detected in a subset of neurons.

TS26: brainstem nucleus Weak Regionally restricted 4C Jmjd3-/- Merge , 4C Jmjd3-/- PAX2 The number of Sst/Pax2 coexpressing neurons was severely reduced in the mutant pre-Botzinger complex. However, the overall number of Pax2-positive neurons in the same region was only marginally affected.
