Assay notes: This assay was designed to recognize a splice variant that lacked exons 6, 7 and 8. The RT-PCR reaction, which amplified the cDNA region corresponding to exons 5-10 was electrophoresed (see Figure 5B) and Southern blotted with an ECL 3'-oligolabeling anddetection system. The probe covered the splice between exons 5 and 9 indicating that exons 6-8 were absent (MGI:2657171).
