reproductive system
• sperm show multiple morphological abnormalities including coiled flagella, short flagella, irregular flagella, and absent flagella
• components of the spermatozoa flagellum are disordered within the cytoplasm
• sperm flagellum shows hypertrophy and hyperplasia of mitochondria
• sperm flagellum shows disarrangement and hyperplasia of outer dense fibers
• 53.33% of mice show a central pair structure defect in sperm flagella
• 66.67% of males show distortion of various periaxonemal microtuble components in sperm flagella
• the daily sperm production is slightly decreased
• sperm counts in the seminiferous tubules and especially in epididymis are decreased
• apoptotic cells are more abundant in the testes
• sperm progressive motility is dramatically lower
• sperm motility rate is dramatically lower
• males father no offspring during a 3-month mating period
• however, no reductions in the size and weight of testes are seen

endocrine/exocrine glands
• apoptotic cells are more abundant in the testes
