immune system
• in vivo and in vitro, B cell survival is enhanced compared with wild-type cells
• however, addition of BAFF or agonistic anti-CD40 partially rescues normal B cell survival
• in response to anti-mu F(ab')2 or LPS
• mice exhibit increased lymphocytic infiltrates in the lungs unlike wild-type mice
• the percentage of follicular and immature B cells in the spleen is lower than in wild-type mice
• the percentage of follicular and immature B cells in the spleen is lower than in wild-type mice
• 5-fold in pooled lymph nodes
• 4-fold in mesenteric lymph nodes
• the percentage of marginal zone B cells in the spleen is 3-fold higher than in wild-type mice
• 2-fold in the lymph nodes
• mice exhibit an increased in cell number in peripheral and mesenteric lymph nodes compared with wild-type mice
