Increased pupil diameter in Pdctm1Luhe/Pdctm1Luhe mice

cardiovascular system
• in arteries of mice older than 4 months
• at 4 to 6 months, mice exhibit ventricular hypertrophy with increased ventricle weight compared with wild-type mice
• following catheterization of the aorta and left ventricle
• clonidine-treated mice exhibit a greater bradycardiac response compared with similarly treated wild-type mice
• following spinal cord stimulation, mice exhibit a greater increase in heart rate compared with similarly treated wild-type mice
• clonidine-treated mice exhibit a greater reduction in systolic blood pressure compared with similarly treated wild-type mice
• mice exhibit stress-induced hypertension
• mice exhibit increased diastolic blood pressure following catheterization of the aorta and left ventricle or under stressful conditions (postoperative or cage transfer) compared with similarly treated wild-type mice
• following electric sympathetic stimulation, mice exhibit a greater increase in diastolic blood pressure compared with similarly treated wild-type mice
• after implantation of telemetric pressure transducers during isoflurane anesthesia, mice exhibit increased diastolic blood pressure under normal conditions or during long day or long night conditions compared with similarly treated wild-type mice
• mice exhibit increased systolic blood pressure following catheterization of the aorta and left ventricle or under stressful conditions (postoperative or cage transfer) compared with similarly treated wild-type mice
• after implantation of telemetric pressure transducers during isoflurane anesthesia, mice exhibit increased systolic blood pressure under normal conditions or during long day or long night conditions compared with similarly treated wild-type mice
• at 4 to 6 months, vasoconstrictor responses to phenylephrine, angiotensin II, and potassium ion depolarization is increased compared with similarly treated wild-type mice
• at 4 to 6 months, medetomidine-mediated vascular relaxation is reduced compared to in wild-type mice

homeostasis/metabolism
• during isoflurane-induced anesthesia, noradrenaline levels are 3.4-fold higher than in similarly treated wild-type mice
• at night, renal elimination of noradrenaline is higher than in wild-type mice
• at 4 to 6 months, vasoconstrictor responses to phenylephrine, angiotensin II, and potassium ion depolarization is increased compared with similarly treated wild-type mice
• clonidine-treated mice exhibit a greater reduction in systolic blood pressure and greater bradycardiac response compared with similarly treated wild-type mice
• at 4 to 6 months, medetomidine-mediated vascular relaxation is reduced compared to in wild-type mice

muscle
• in arteries of mice older than 4 months
• following catheterization of the aorta and left ventricle
• at 4 to 6 months, vasoconstrictor responses to phenylephrine, angiotensin II, and potassium ion depolarization is increased compared with similarly treated wild-type mice
• at 4 to 6 months, medetomidine-mediated vascular relaxation is reduced compared to in wild-type mice

nervous system
• acetylcholine-induced action potentials in the superior cervical ganglia persist longer than in wild-type mice
• depolarized neurons exhibit higher firing frequencies compared with wild-type mice

renal/urinary system
• at night, renal elimination of noradrenaline is higher than in wild-type mice
