growth/size/body
• body weight is reduced at P30 but this difference in weight disappears by P60

renal/urinary system
• kidneys show dilated ectatic vessels in both the cortical and medullary regions, altering the normal renal architecture
• dilations contain a very slender and flattened endothelium and are associated with interstitial edema expanding the connective tissue framework evenly separating the tubules
• shrinkage and hypocellularity of the capillary tufts
• the one mouse with cortical atrophy shows slight mesangial hyperplasia
• the edematous fibrovascular stroma is focally and moderately infiltrated by chronic inflammatory cells such as lymphocytes and plasma cells
• Bowmans space is widened
• PAS+ material in the mesangial matrix
• renal glomeruli appear diffusely and moderately atrophic with a slight multifocal and PAS+ material in the mesangial matrix, widened Bowmans space, and shrinkage and hypocellularity of the capillary tufts
• one mouse shows focal and severe cortical atrophy
• moderate hydronephrosis is seen in one mouse
• renal tubular ectasia with some cases showing pyknotic nuclei indicative of necroptosis
