• increased latency to fall in a rotarod assay and increased maximum final speed
• in response to intraplantar administrationof algogen formalin there is a significant reduction in the first phase responses but not the second phase
• on a thermal gradient mice show a preference for warmer temperatures compared to wild-type controls
• increased latency to respond to being placed on a 48oC or50oC hot plate
• however, response to a 53oC hot plate or a Hargreaves radiant heat source are similar to controls
• withdrawal response to light touch or noxious pin prick stimulus are similar to controls
• withdrawal response to noxious cold is similar to controls
