• monocyte progenitors (Ly6Chigh CX3CR+) in the bone marrow expressing a high level of CCR2 are increased

cardiovascular system
• mice show an increase in the basal vascular leakage
• VEGF induces more severe vascular leakage than in wild-type mice
• systemic administration of a mature form of ADM2 called IMD40 reduces the vascular leakage
• however, mice appear healthy

liver/biliary system
• macrophage infiltration is increased in the liver
